Harry L. Toussaint was born in Lafayette, Louisiana , and reared in Opelousas, Louisiana. He is the third child, born to Rev. James V. and Lillie Mae Toussaint.

Harry L.  Toussaint attended public school in Opelousas, Louisiana and served for six years in the United States Navy.

He was married  to  the former Dominiciana (NeNe) Manlubatan for 45 years until her death.  From their union, they have two children; Rolanda Jones, and Armando Toussaint.  He has nine (9) grandchildren, and five (5) great-grandchildren. 

He married Lillian Stewart Fields in 2018.   

Reverend Harry L.  Toussaint responded to God's plan for his life by accepting the call to preach the Gospel in 1977.  He has served in the capacity of Senior Pastor at Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church since 1980.    

Reverend Toussaint  preaches  the word of God with authority and clarity.
